There are a number of approaches to hiding the technology away. Products can be sited as discretely as possible with wires hidden from view. Hiding speakers is discussed separately in the 'covert' page under 'sounds'.
Home cinema projector screens are most often powered and can drop from apertures in the ceiling, from behind beams (existing or fabricated) or, most commonly, within curtain trimmings. Flat panel displays can also drop from ceilings, rise from cupboards or be revealed by retracting pictures. We have done it all. Similarly, projectors can drop into the room or, via a powered opening flap, be given access to the room only when required.
Rooms can therefore be given theatrical James Bond style transformations. Add in automated lighting, blinds, curtains and, as we said, it can be pure theatre.
