Blame the iPod. Music has, at breakneck speed, become a commodity that it now seems perfectly natural to share round the home.

Only a couple of years ago, we were explaining the concept of multi-room audio. Now it seems quite normal. If you are still playing catch-up, here is the premise:

Music is stored in a centralised way and is available to many separate rooms in the house. Different music from the same 'library', or the same music can be played in different areas at the same time. Access to radio can be included too. The music can be selected from visible menus in any of the listening areas and the volume level is easily adjustable in each of these zones.
