Distributed audio can dovetail with video, so that multi channel audio is available in a variety of rooms, along with access to a huge range of films and recorded TV programmes.
Sophisticated control via touch panels used to be incredibly expensive. At the top end of the market, these devices (and the required programming) still are very pricey. Recent products have, however, brought a large chunk of this 'high end' control down to a much more affordable level.
